Why the name Val's Vital Touch?
Val's Vital Touch is named after the owners mother, Valree. Valree passed in 1999 from complications due to the disease Lupus. At the time, Shannon was not a massage therapist nor was she aware of the benefits of massage. Once she became a massage therapist she often thought of the days her mother spent in pain and how massage would have been vital during her illness. Hence, the name Val's Vital Touch!

Do I have to remove all my clothing?
For the most part you will be asked to take off everything but your underwear with the exception of certain spa treatments where you will be asked to disrobe completely. Underwear are not necessary but can be worn if you prefer. Disrobe to your level of comfort. You will be draped with a sheet or towel so that you are discreetly covered at all times. 

Are there any conditions that would prevent me from getting a massage?
The following conditions could prevent you from getting a massage: If you have uncontrolled high blood pressure, diabetes, history of heart conditions, rashes, or are pregnant. If you have any physical injury or condition that may be of concern you should mention it before receiving services. Your therapist may ask you to consult a physician before rendering services.

How will I feel afterward?
Although reactions may vary depending on the person's body and the services rendered, most people will feel relaxed yet energized and often report that their mood was lifted and they were able to get a good nights rest. Many note that their aching muscles and joints were relieved & headaches were gone. A small few may experience soreness in their problem areas but will report that after an hour or two passed or the next day, the feeling had gone away and they felt great. Most persons will tell you that their experience at VVT was a pleasant one that left them rejuvenated and with an overall sense of well-being!
